Multiple bitrate stream intros
« on: August 11, 2017, 02:38:37 pm »
Apologises all if this has been discussed before but I could not locate it via the forum search as it brought loads a alternative posts via the words I used.

I wish to know is it possible to use intro / fallover files when you have multiple stream bitrates set?

Example:  if the stream is 128kbps, 44100kHz, stereo then the intro file must match this.

So if I have 128, 320, 96 etc how does this work as if I upload the above then it will only play on the 128 stream all others will not see it. Therefore is there a way to have multiple intro files in different bitrates?

Obviously I cannot just ftp the correct file bitrates into /usr/local/centovacast/var/vhosts/directory/var/spool/sounds as they cannot have the same file name so I am a little stumped how to get over this.

I should add that the above is for Shoutcast as when using an Icecast stream there is an extra area under Mount Points / Settings allowing you to add alternative intros

Mount point:   /stream
Intro clip:
Fallback clip:
