Centova installation within X.P. and Linux Debian.

Dear All,

First of all I am brand new here, having only registered today! Happy New Year to all.

I have a bit of an awkward problem, and believe the best way of going about explaining the situation is to tell you the problem first, then some information about my setup.

I am attempting to install the latest version of Centova as an experiment on my Windows X.P. home P.C. prior to installation on my server. This is being done via Virtual Box running the latest stable Linux Debian; I should explain that my knowledge of Debian is virtually nothing.

After quite a lot of hassle, I have got Centova installed, along with (I think) Shoutcast and Icecast, together with MyS.Q.L. I am at the stage of being able to login to the Centova control panel on my own home P.C.

The problem is when I try to add a host is that I keep on getting this message from Iceweasel: "Would you like to remember the password for http://localhost on http://10.0.2.15:2199?", along with an error 502 "Bad Gateway". Any ideas?

D.H.C.P. is enabled in my router, but when selecting "Bridged Network" on Virtual Box, all connectivity ceases. I have also ensured that all necessary ports are opened in X.P.'s Firewall as well as the Router: 80, 2199. 8000, 8002. I have read up on iptables, and followed through directions of how to disable all Firewalls within Debian (which is the O.S. Virtual Box is running).

Briefly, my setup has TWO servers: one for the Website, one for the music management system, both on separate Static I.P.'s. The only difference with what I am trying to do now, is that I will be installing Centova on the music management server (running Windows 2003 Server) ultimately, rather than my own P.C.

I hope I've made everything clear.

Thanks for any help you maybe able to offer.

Nathan.
