Hello,

so i removed the /usr/local/centovacast folder and ran the installer which failed for me, out put included below. i have tried to make the folders mentioned in the output and ran the fixperms script which dint work.

also i notice a helper script to migrate accounts, in theory is this a working script... i have just 2 accounts on the v2 i can test this on

I just got the same error, have you managed to fix this?

I gave up, looked like there was a issue with the installer so waiting for an update from centova...

Don't give up guys, the latest version has even more features, song request widget, running very stable also.

What os are you installing this on? I just installed a second v3 this morning , I had to install both SC1,2 and ices_cc , sc_trans by hand but it's so far doing great. Are you installing on a server with the old Centova on it?
I had problems when I tried that, Centova V3 has everything needed other than MYSQL, I think that it's best if you install on a fresh machine with only Centova and MYSQL, I use CentOS 5.5 x64 MySQL

well i just fired up a VM with rackspace and it works.

with the radio i stoped using cloud hosting due to SAN issues with diffrent providers, so using normal VPS's... would prefer not to buy a new server and move... so i guess time to have a look

Yes I had my provider suspend my account before because it was causing the load to get so high -- and after more tests I see it still has that problem, it was running so good too till I started uploading more mp3's the load just gets higher and higher were your not even able to run a command to see what the problem is

ok, thats odd... it just installed... guess the avalible copy got fixed...

only got a licence error that makes sense and know how to fix it got the installer screen again... fingers crossed!

I think you just need to go in to centova account and re-issue the key

had to restart centova via the init.d script after doing the licence thing but...

i was wondering if you would be so kind and post the steps or a url on how to get shoutcast2 and centova installed... i get "Could not start server: Application binary has not been configured for ShoutCast2 " when trying to start the autoDJ.

Yes I had that problem also I do not think centova is able to automatically install anything, you can easily do it by hand though, had to do each one, SHOUTcast 1 , SHOUTcast 2.... sc_trans and ices_cc -- if you do it right you will see the check mark automatically be checked in the Centova ADMIN under server & auto dj software tabs under the host manager

The problem I have always had is the server load, I think as long as you upload mp3's without any stream running it is fine, only when I try to upload mp3's (either web based or FTP) and a stream is running at the same time (which will always be the case) the server load goes up very high and I must reboot. Please check that on yours once you get it streaming and see if the load gets out of control while FTPing

 I also am having problem with the YP hash I just set it to private stream and it is not required.
