Title: Silence at track end
Post by: Heyes on April 25, 2017, 08:44:16 am
How does Centova treat silence (or very low sound levels) at the end of tracks?

Does it play the entire track, or is there an auto-detect feature to skip silence (or sound below a specified level)?

I'm considering instances when crossfade is NOT enabled.

there are plenty of batch apps that will delete silence at the start and end of MP3s and level the volume off.

Thanks.
Yes I'm aware of that - and currently trim files before upload.

New to Centova, I'd wondered if it had an option to auto-skip silence, hence my question. Recent tests suggest it doesn't skip silence.

Centova Cast relies on the autodj software to handle these things, and unfortunately none of them skips the silent parts from the beginning/end of the tracks.

Ok, thanks.
